Summer Night Skin Care Routine

The summer season can take a toll on your skin – cracking and dehydration are just some of the signs that your skin may need a little love.

Consider dedicating a little extra time at night, when the sun has set, to rid your skin of all the craziness from the day. Having a well-kept night time skin care routine is just as important as a morning one.

Step 1: Remove Makeup 

Summer is a great time because it means we get to wear minimal makeup, but that doesn’t mean you can neglect makeup removal. Removing every last bit of makeup that you applied earlier in the day is a crucial step to healthy, glowing skin.

Step 2: Cleanser

Don’t assume removing your makeup counts as your cleansing step, because it doesn’t. You should cleanse a second time to get rid of any lingering sunscreen (which you should be wearing consistently in summer!) and any excess oil or impurities. 

Step 3: Exfoliate 

Your skin can start to look dull and patchy as the summer goes on, hot weather can also cause flakiness too. To combat this, we advise you scrub your face once or twice a week.

Step 4: Moisturise/ Face mask

Re-hydrating your skin after a long day in the sun is a must. So either apply a thick layer of your favourite night cream or pop on a moisturising face mask. Trust us, your face will thank you!
