Brazilian Butt Lift Post Surgery AdviceAugust 9, 2019
You’ll be turning heads this summer when you show off your new Brazilian Butt Lift. Because not only does it create volume and shape in your buttocks, but it also removes fat from those areas where you want it least.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, it’s important to mention that you still have to put a little work in even after the procedure is done. The surgeon has worked incredibly hard to give you the perfect hourglass figure, so of course you’d want to keep those results.
Aftercare is one of the most crucial steps of any cosmetic procedure and can heavily influence how long your results last.
We’ve curated a list of our top post surgery advice to help you maintain your BBL long after the procedure day.
#1 – Stay away from hot tubs and pools
As tempting as it is, this summer you need to avoid pools and hot tubs. Doing this will speed up your healing process after the BBL surgery and make sure your new ‘bum & tum’ heals properly.
#2 – Wear the compression garment for the required amount of time
The compression garment we provide is necessary to aid with the healing process, it essentially holds everything together to give your booty the best chance of healing. At Lanson Medical we recommend you wear this for 6 weeks post-surgery!
#3 – Stretch legs frequently to avoid blood clots and aid healing
For the first 2 weeks post-surgery you need to make sure you rest adequately. However after this stretching your legs following the BBL can help with healing, just like you would do after a strenuous gym session.
#4 – Don’t go back to work for 2-3 weeks
Treat yourself to a little downtime after your BBL – sit back, relax and let your new bum settle in. Going back to work too soon could put too much pressure on your body, you need time to heal!
#5 – Maintain a healthy lifestyle
Quitting smoking and having a well balanced diet are just some of the ways you can improve your lifestyle. The results of your BBL can last for a long period of time if you stick to a healthier way of living.
